C-205

C-205 is a two-way passive line array system.

It brings long throw capabilities together with extreme SPL – all from within a compact and portable array system.

The biggest breakthrough during the development process was the creation of a custom Wharfedale Pro neodymium HF compression driver. This newly engineered HF component delivers extreme sensitivity from a very compact and lightweight design. Along with its supersensitive 1.75” voice coil, this HF compression driver also features aluminium back plating which acts as a heat sink to aid heat dissipation. This attention to detail protects the driver from heat damage and mechanical distortion during extreme performance levels.

The 2 * 5” custom LF drivers have been developed to work in partnership with this neo HF driver. Rigid die cast baskets ensure consistent sonic performance with minimum distortion. The placement and physical mounting of all the drivers have been fine tuned to ensure maximum phase coherence and SPL are achieved from the compact cabinet.

The specially designed acoustic grilles in front of the 5” woofers optimise the midrange directivity while the HF exponential horn delivers consistent HF accuracy and detail. In addition, the trapezoidal enclosure has been developed to reduce any acoustic sidelobes within the array.

For low-end punch we have also created the 141dB SPL C-205S subwoofer. This subwoofer physically and acoustically matches the WLA-25 system. Using a reversed-phase horn loaded design, the 2 * 10” LF drivers with massive 2.5” coils deliver the consistent low end punch to complete this versatile array.

The hardware design allows the system to be groundstacked or it can be flown using the matching C-205 Flyframe or C-205S Flyframe.

Available in a black or white Rhino Rock covering, the compact C-205 and C-205S is a perfect system for multi-function halls, theatres, and houses of worship.

VERSATILE

C-205 systems are versatile. Using a choice of 3 different fly frames or the C-205 Stand Frame, a C-205 rig can be flow, ground stacked or configured as a small and portable array.

The new C-205S MKII has been specifically developed with an M20 pole socket.
